The last day of the 16th European Public Health Conference #EPH2023 is unfortunately almost behind us. It has been a very intense and incredibly inspiring time. The opportunity to meet representatives from the World Health Organization, European Commission, and an international community of researchers, scientists, and practitioners, all focused on one goal: ensuring a better, sustainable future for humanity.
The foundation of our actions as the Acellmed team is to seek answers to the most pressing challenges in public health. Undoubtedly – as clearly seen in the program – COVID-19 remains one of these challenges.
“Unfortunately, SARS-CoV-2 has ceased to be a political issue. But it has not ceased to be a health issue, still a significant problem and challenge for public health and medicine” – this thought was reflected in many presentations. Therefore, we feel obligated and motivated to continue developing our project – to continue working on our innovative drug inhibiting the development of COVID-19, carried out in collaboration with the Silesian Park of Medical Technology Kardio-Med Silesia and the University of Wrocław.
Congratulations and thanks to the main organizer of EUPHA – European Public Health Association!
We especially thank you for the touching, memorable session – the workshop “Female leadership in times of crisis – fostering a sustainable future for humanity.”
